Research has shown that the single biggest reason a child does well at school is the support of parents who take a real, active and consistent interest in their child’s education at home.
We want the best for your child, and by working in partnership we can successfully enrich your child’s journey through The American International School. To make sure our pupils are given the very best start, we work hard to develop strong partnerships with the parents and guardians of our diverse body of students.
At STEAM, we actively encourage parents to engage with their child’s learning and are leading the way by becoming the first school to introduce a parental engagement strategy into all our schools.
The Parent-Teacher Association
Parents’ Association (PTA) is a proactive and highly driven parental body who will support our school in all sorts of ways and organise social, academic, performance, sporting and fund-raising events for the whole school community.
Close communication is at the core of our partnership approach. Keeping guardians in the loop regarding their child’s progress is an essential part of what we will do.
From consultation evenings and written reports, to an “open door” policy which ensures parents can speak with us at any stage, we will keep those all-important channels of communication wide open.
STEAM Family Magazine
We highly promote parental engagement and we will keep our parents updated daily with their child’s progress and outcomes which are well documented throughout the pre-school, communicated during pick up and drop off times as well as through parent teacher meetings, and STEAM Family Magazine.
